Pagosa Springs Youth Center will celebrate Colorado Cares Day with a neighborhood barbeque on Friday, July 30, 5-8 pm.   Neighborhood families are invited to come to the center for dinner, music, games and a tour of the facility and an opportunity to meet PSYC staff and students who use the facility.

Colorado Cares  Day, in its 12th year, is a statewide day of service in honor of Colorado’s statehood.  The Governor’s Commission on Community Service is working to make gtghis years celebration the largest statewide day of service to date, incorporating AmeriCorpsVISTA resources to promote volunteerism and increased community service.

Pagosa Springs Youth Center has two AmeriCorps members, Lon Hofmann and Carol Otis, working as staff members.

PSYC is located on Hermosa Alley across from the Town Park.  It is in the old Power House Youth Center.
